Some people think they’re below average, but that is quite different from what a micropenis is.
A micropenis is a penis that is very small. It isn’t just being slightly below average, it is typically when stretched, a penis that is about 2.5 deviations below the average size. What does that mean in layman terms? Well, let’s take the average penis size. It’s about 5-6 inches, respectively. About 2.5 standard deviations is really about 2.8 inches long when stretched. Typically, a micropenis is only about .75 inches long when flaccid, which is actually smaller than the average penis, which is only about 1-1.5 inches when stretched. This condition typically causes the person to have trouble with urination, sexual intercourse, and it decreases fertility as well, and it can cause psychological problems as well. How is this caused? Well, it’s mostly caused by the penis being unable to elongate during the first trimester of the pregnancy. This is typically because of a hormone problem, or maybe a lack of testosterone, which is the male hormone. By having less testosterone, it can cause other hormonal problems once the baby is born. There are also studies being conducted that point to various mutilations of the gene SRD5A2 gene which can cause this condition. This is a gene that does possesses testosterone, and DHT, which are both potent in this. it is often considered a genetic condition, and also because of the environmental factors that are caused by the pregnancy. Simply put, if it happens when the child is in the womb, they often have to live with this condition for a long time, and this can cause some emotional, psychological, and health problems. So, a micropenis isn’t just a small penis, it’s a legitimate genetic condition that affects some. How to deal with it? Well, micro penis is a serious condition which requires surgical intervention. Unlike other cases of reduced penis growth where a herbal or ayurvedic penis enlargement medicine can work significantly, micropenis can only be cured with the help of surgical implants only.
